Frequently Asked Questions
How many microfiber towels do I need?
Divide the car into 5 sections: left side, right side, front, top, and back. For each section, you need 3 microfiber towels: one for applying the cleaner, one for drying, and one for buffing. Use towels that are either new or washed without fabric softeners and designed specifically for cars, without any tags or blemishes that could scratch the paint.
This means you will need a total of 15 microfiber towels for the entire car’s exterior. Additionally, you’ll need 2 microfiber towels for the interior: one for cleaning and one for buffing out streaks. We also recommend using one more microfiber towel during the final walk-around to clean any spots that may have been missed.
Furthermore, you’ll need 4 microfiber towels for the wheels and tires: one for each wheel, including the rims and the rubber parts of the tires. Clean the rims first, then the tires.
In total, we recommend having 22 to 42 microfiber towels ready for each car wash session. Buy a 50 pack from Amazon or your favorite retailer. Make sure it is designed for cars.
Is it safe for my car paint?
Yes, it is safe for new or like-new paint. Always follow the directions to ensure the best results.
Can I use tap water?
We recommend using distilled water to avoid impurities and water spots. However, reverse osmosis or tap water with sediment below 1.0 ppm is acceptable. This is a very low ppm count that most reverse osmosis systems can’t produce. Most tap water in the US has ppm count of over 1.0 PPM. That’s why we recommend distilled water only.
